The Ned London is one of London’s hottest new hotels, set in the grandeur of an old bank dating from 1924, with 252 bedrooms, 9 different restaurants and bars, a spa and members club. The hotel has been springing up all over social media feeds for the past few months and is arguably one of the trendiest places in London right now.
As you enter through the large polished oak doors you are overwhelmed by the towering windows, high ceiling, glistening marble floor and the oak panels that surround the restaurants.
In the centre of the lobby is the musician’s podium where jazz and blues performances are held daily so you can really feel like you are transported back in time to the glamorous 1920’s. The open-plan style of the restaurants and bars, makes it fun to hop from one to the other and try the different cocktails and foods on offer.
I dined at Cecconi’s, for both brunch and lunch and was impressed with the impeccable service and the speed at which the food came to the table. The avocado and poached eggs with black pepper on sourdough are a great starter to the day and the pastas and pizzas with red wine are an appetite pleaser for lunch and dinner.
There are so many other food options available including the Nickel Bar serving American classics and fine whiskies, Malibu Kitchen serving healthy Californian favourites, Lutyens Grill steakhouse and Kaia serving Asian-Pacific cuisine
The hotel is operated by the Soho House group and as standard with the exclusive hotel chain there is a private members club onsite. Hidden behind the 20 tonne steel bank vault door, The Vault Bar & Lounge still has 3000 original safety deposit boxes and hosts DJ nights, exclusive events while serving exquisite cocktails and Italian food.
There is also an onsite barbershop, Cowshed beauty treatment room, Trish McEvoy makeup station as well as a ladies hair salon.
With so many options available at The Ned from the diverse range of restaurants to the grooming and beauty stations, it’s easy to see why this is one of London’s hottest addresses.
